Short introduction to Overlord
On the night his favorite MMORPG is scheduled to be shut down, veteran player Momonga stays logged in until the clock hits zero. 9. Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody (Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku)

Description: “Satou,” aka Ichiro Suzuki is a programmer in the middle of a death march. He was supposed to be taking a nap but somehow wakes up in another world… What lies before him is what looks like the menu screen of the game he was working before his nap. 7. Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil

Description: It is June of the year CE 1923. A young girl with blond hair and blue eyes, Tanya Degurechaff, has entered the final curriculum of the Imperial Military Academy and is training at the third patrol line in the northern military district, the Norden Theater, as part of her service to the force. Her training, the first step toward a brilliant career as an aviation mage, should have gone off without a hitch… but things took an unexpected turn.

They both feature the transported to another world and given another body plot points and feature theme of comradeship and loyalty, while letting the protagonist be analytical, intellectual and physical bad asses in their new bodies. The key appeal between the two is that the protagonist are not only noticeably similar but different as well. They both want to thrive in their new worlds, but one tries to act above the traits of human emotions for themselves while being unsure of what to keep, if any thing at all. The other tries to hold on to as much as they can due to their new body causing to become less of a natural response, and only acts above it for people he find himself with in his new world. Both start in a place of scepticism, but one find a place of happiness and hope while the other is pushed into mad hatred.
6. GATE

Description: On August 20XX, a gate suddenly appears in Tokyo’s Ginza district, unleashing a portal where monsters, medieval knights and other fantasy beings come from another world and wreak havoc on Tokyo. The Japanese Defense Force take action against these monsters and push them back into the “Gate”. Third Reconnaissance Team is dispatched to the “Special Region” lead by officer (and otaku) Youji Itami. On their travels, they are joined by a beautiful elf girl who is a survivor from the dragon’s rampage and guide the group across the dangerous new world.

Overlord and Gate have also strong focus on politics and diplomacy, dealing with both opponents and allies. Both shows tell the story of a male protagonist from our world going to a fantasy universe with a twist that they’re backed up by a military force much stronger than their potential rivals and both take part in the conquest of the fantasy worlds they are in.
5. No Game No Life

Description: An urban legend states that those exceptionally gifted at gaming will be sent a special game invitation, and the winners of the challenge will be whisked away to another world. When Sora and Shiro, two hikikomori NEETs who happen to be both siblings and notorious gamers, receive this invitation, they defeat it with ease. And like the legends tell, they’re transported to another world where conflicts, peoples’ lives and even country borders are decided by competitions and games. Both have main characters that get dropped in a foreign world and instead of “trying to return home” they stay because they like the new world. They also both have in common themes of the characters overcoming obstacles no matter how great, with relative ease. Overall, they really feel similar too, it’s like you could kinda see the two worlds existing side-by-side
4. Sword Art Online

Description: The year is 2022, and gamers have lined up on launch day for Sword Art Online, a hotly-anticipated MMORPG that lets players connect to an immersive virtual reality world with special helmets called Nerve Gear. These shows have a similar setting. A protagonist is stuck in a virtual world they can’t possibly log out of. In both shows, at first it’s unknown why the players can’t leave the virtual world. These shows have a similar setting, but not a very similar story, still, if you liked one of these, you might easily like another.
3. How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu)

Description: An elite but socially-stunted gamer finds himself in another world, inhabiting the body of his character Diablo. But despite his powers, his awkwardness keeps getting in the way–so he decides to pretend to be a Demon Lord and soon finds himself with a pair of slaves: a well-endowed elf and a cat girl. Both anime have main characters that are the demon lord/king. They also have the Main Characters being trapped or summoned into the game by an unknown force and a harem. The plots are similar and they both are funny and good to watch.
2. Log Horizon

Both anime are quite similar between each other. In both of them the main character gets stuck in a virtual reality game and has to find a way to go back to his world while trying to get a grasp of the mechanics of the world they are trapped into.
