Hey, guys welcome back to Kaizetsu.com. Today we are going to provide you the list of Anime which are very similar to anime named The Rising of the Shield Hero
Short introduction to The Rising of the Shield Hero:

He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world!
10. Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest

Description: Hajime Nagumo and his high school class are suddenly summoned to a fantastical land as heroes. But while most of his classmates have powerful stats and abilities, Hajime does not. Underappreciated and unprepared, he tumbles into the depths of a monster-infested dungeon where voracity and sacrifice are his only options. To thrive in this savage world, he’ll have no choice but to welcome the abyss.
Number of Episodes: 13
Release Year: 2019
Some comparisons that can be made between these two would be the evolution of the protagonists from weak to strong. In shield hero this takes longer but none the less, in both instances we see a clear power development. Another simmilarity would be the harem of girls that they collect along the journey. Characters wise they exihbit the same lack of care initially for anything as well as their deep thirst for revenge. This soon changes with the introduction of new teammates that show them that all is not evil.
9. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Description: Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm…as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!
Number of Episodes: 24
Release Year: 2018
They are both aesthetically pleasing isekai anime. Although, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime has a more upbeat tone whereas The Rising of Shield Hero has a mysterious, dark setting (especially in the first few episodes), the main characters of both shows are rather mistreated due to people’s first impression of them being that they are weak. As the anime progresses, both main characters develop their skills and fighting prowess as they meet stronger opponents. If viewers are interested in the constant evolution of power in the Main Characters of an anime, both shows would be to your liking.
8. Goblin Slayer

Description: Rumor has it that, in a certain guild in the middle of nowhere, there is an extraordinary man who has climbed all the way to the Silver rank just by killing goblins. At the same guild, a priestess who’s just become a new adventurer has formed her first party… and the man who ends up rescuing that party when they get into trouble is none other than the Goblin Slayer.
Number of Episodes: 12
Release Year: 2018
Both are fairly dark stories but we see the evolution of their relationship as the story progresses. Shield hero is an isekai but it feels very similar to the adventuring style of Goblin Slayer. Both also have great fight scenes.
7. How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord

Description: An elite but socially-stunted gamer finds himself in another world, inhabiting the body of his character Diablo. But despite his powers, his awkwardness keeps getting in the way–so he decides to pretend to be a Demon Lord and soon finds himself with a pair of slaves: a well-endowed elf and a cat girl. Together, they struggle with everything from interpersonal relationships to diabolical beast battles!
Number of Episodes: 12
Release Year: 2018
It has a lot of the same themes though it is much more comedic. The story is similar where the main protagonist goes to another world and ends up getting slaves. It’s actually not bad so don’t drop it just because it’s an ecchi.
6. Sword Art Online

Description: The year is 2022, and gamers have lined up on launch day for Sword Art Online, a hotly-anticipated MMORPG that lets players connect to an immersive virtual reality world with special helmets called Nerve Gear. Kirito is one such gamer who’s eager to jump back into action, having spent a great deal of time as a beta tester, and quickly becomes friends with newbie warrior Klein. But soon, Sword Art Online’s 10,000 players discover that not only are they unable to log out, the only way they can return to their physical bodies is by beating the 100-level tower’s final boss – that is, if their HP doesn’t drop to zero first, for death in the game means death in the real world. Now, with no one else to turn to, Kirito and the other participants must survive the game as best they can – some forming guilds, others ruthlessly leaving their peers behind, and many tragically falling by the wayside or to the merciless monsters populating the lands…
Number of Episodes: 25
Release Year: 2012
If you liked this, then you will probably like this too. As they both feature trapped in another world cirumstances in RPG settings.
5. Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World

Description: Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…
Number of Episodes: 25
Release Year: 2016
Another isekai where the main character starts from nothing (or worse) and builds his way up in the world. Similar settings, re:zero goes much more into the misery of it all and has much more interesting adventures. Better animated too, besides background characters in a few places.
4. Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

In order to survive, Satou uses Meteor Shower, his level jumped to 310 and he became extremely wealthy. Whether it be dream or reality, Satou’s journey was now beginning.

Both Main Character spend some time traveling in a wagon with a bunch of girls, which are not all human. The group helps people and the Main Character tinkers with things at night. Both Main Character also have game overlay vision.
3. Log Horizon

Description: With over 20 million players worldwide, Elder Tale is one of the hottest online RPGs. At least, it used to be only a game, until the fateful day that tens of thousands of players became stuck in the virtual world, unable to log out. For these would-be knights, healers and magicians, Elder Tale is no longer a hobby, it’s a reality, complete with tasteless in-game food, revivals upon death, and boring NPC conversations! With no other options than to accept their fates, the analytical Shiroe, perverted-and-proud Naotsugu, tiny and adorable Akatsuki and other new friends must adjust to their new lives in Elder Tale, avoiding player killers and monsters along the way!
Number of Episodes: 25
Release Year: 2013
Both are Isekais, have Powerful main characters who use their head to get their way, both have action but also focus on important but less actiony elements of the world, like being merchants and politics. Shield hero was darker than log horizon, and log horizon’s mc wasnt rejected by the other people who were transported to the new world, but overall they have a similar vibe.
2. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Description: Set in the world of Orario, where adventurers band together and look for treasures in an underground labyrinth known as Dungeon. However, for Bell Cranel, fame and riches are secondary to what he wants to find the most: girls. He soon finds out though, that anything can happen in Dungeon, and winds up being the damsel in distress instead!
Number of Episodes: 13
Release Year: 2015
There are many anime I could recommend that are similar to Shield Hero in many respects, given that Seiyu is a vast genre. DANMACHI, as it’s called in shorthand (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?) is more dungeon centric but, like shield hero, has an MC following the hero-2-zero path. Like SH it si filled with fantastical monsters, demi humans, also elves and even demigods. If you enjoy yhebmore comedic situations and also subtle harem antics, you’ll love it.
1. Redo of Healer

Description: In a dark world of monsters, adventurers and mages, some of the most gifted healers are subjugated to brute force even by the hands of their compatriots. But one mage, Kayal, gains the ability to rewind time, turn the tables and right all wrongs.
Number of Episodes: 12
Release Year: 2021
Both seeks revenge from a certain woman which tore the person down into pieces. Either it’s 81tch or its Flare, it doesn’t change the fact both protagonists hate their former colleagues.
